Echinacea

Echinacea is a traditional medicinal product used to relieve the symptoms of the common cold and influenza type infections.

It is a pretty purple flower that isn’t just nice to look at, Echinacea is brimming with brilliant nutrients that can help you soothe and combat all manner of pesky ailments!

This natural powerhouse has been a long-time remedy for common colds and the flu which is probably what most people use it for but echinacea also has powerful anti-inflammatory properties that can aid with faster wound healing.

Today, echinacea is classified as a traditional herbal remedy by the British Herbal Medical Association (BHMA). The immune-boosting properties are attributed to the natural plant compounds polysaccharides and aklomides.

Usage is based on traditional use only, which means that the effectiveness is not guaranteed as it’s based on anecdotal evidence over many years, rather than solid scientific research.
