The garlic used in these tablets is significantly closer to the nutritional profile of natural, raw garlic than many low priced ‘high street’ brands of garlic. The active ingredients in garlic are believed to be the many sulphur containing compounds, one of which is alliin. This is converted to allicin when the garlic is chewed or crushed. Garlic can be taken indefinitely but if you are using it for cholesterol problems then don’t forget to have your levels checked regularly in case you need to take other measures.
