Have you ever felt overwhelmed by the weight of the world? The stresses of daily life can leave us feeling drained, anxious, and disconnected. If you’re seeking a way to restore balance and harmony to your mind, body, and spirit, let me introduce you to Reiki—a complementary therapy that channels universal energy to promote healing and well-being.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique developed in the early 20th century by Mikao Usui. It is based on the principle that a practitioner can channel energy into a person through light touch or near the body to activate the natural healing processes within. The word “Reiki” translates to “universal life energy,” representing the vital force that flows through all living things.
During a Reiki session, the client typically sits or lies down comfortably while the practitioner lightly places their hands on or near the client’s body in their energetic field. This gentle touch helps promote relaxation and creates a peaceful atmosphere. As the practitioner’s hands channel energy, they may experience sensations such as tingling or warmth, which often indicate that healing energy is flowing.
Reiki works on the premise that a person’s energy levels significantly affect their health and well-being. By restoring balance to these energy levels, Reiki can help alleviate physical discomfort, reduce emotional stress, and enhance overall wellness. After a session, clients often report feeling calm and relaxed, with some even drifting into a meditative state.
The Science Behind Reiki Healing
Reiki isn’t just a feel-good treatment; it’s a practice with increasing recognition and respect in the wellness community. Research has shown that Reiki healing can have profound benefits for both physical and mental health. Studies indicate it can help alleviate anxiety, reduce pain, and improve overall well-being. It is now practised in over 600 hospitals in the US and at least 60 within the NHS in the UK, bridging the gap between traditional medicine and holistic healing.
My Personal Journey
As a registered nurse, I was once a sceptic about alternative therapies. I believed in the power of traditional medicine and was convinced that anything outside of it was merely placebo. However, after experiencing burnout in a nursing role I loved, I found myself battling severe anxiety that left me unable to work. I was prescribed medication for my anxiety, which I never thought I would be able to get off. In my desperation for relief, I decided to give Reiki a try.
What I didn’t realise was how transformative that first session would be. As I lay on the treatment table, I felt sensations coursing through my body—tingling, warmth, and an overwhelming sense of calm that I hadn’t experienced in years.
It was as if a heavy weight had been lifted, and clarity flooded my mind. That one treatment became the catalyst for my healing journey, reconnecting me to something profound within myself. Over time, through the consistent practice of Reiki, I found the strength to gradually reduce and ultimately discontinue my medication.
Initially, I trained in Reiki for my own healing, but as I delved deeper into the practice, my life began to change in ways I never anticipated. After four years, I found myself no longer aligned with my nursing career. Instead, I stepped into my calling as a healer, establishing my own reiki practice.
Witnessing Transformation
Over the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of guiding hundreds of individuals through their own Reiki journeys, both in person and online for distance Reiki sessions. My abilities have developed significantly during this time, allowing me to sense, feel, and release energetic blockages that often relate to specific chakras. Clients have arrived feeling anxious, stressed, heartbroken, or physically unwell, and have left feeling calm, grounded, joyful, and with newfound clarity.
Reiki has proven effective in reducing pain and alleviating physical symptoms such as headaches, digestive issues, and muscle tension. The potential of Reiki to unlock healing for the mind, body, and spirit is truly remarkable. It assists in aligning the spiritual system, helping individuals reconnect with their true selves and fostering a deeper understanding of their emotional and physical experiences.
During a Reiki treatment the participant does not get the practitioners energy. The practitioner channels universal energy for the participant, allowing them to receive what they need for their own healing process. While I always recommend Reiki as a complement to traditional treatments rather than a replacement, I have witnessed incredible transformations.
Unlocking Your Potential
Reiki can help you release emotional blockages, alleviate physical discomfort, and promote mental clarity. It opens the door to self-discovery, allowing you to reconnect with your intuition and inner wisdom. Imagine stepping into a space where you can let go of stress, find balance, and embrace a deeper connection with yourself. That’s what Reiki offers.
As you explore this healing modality, remember that it’s not just a treatment; it’s a journey. Whether you’re seeking relief from anxiety, physical pain, or emotional turmoil, Reiki can guide you toward a path of healing and empowerment.
Supplements for Reiki
I don’t typically recommend a lot of supplements in my practice but there are a few rich in vitamins and minerals can enhance overall health, complementing Reiki’s healing effects on the body. They may also help clear your mind by improving cognitive function and focus, making it easier to engage in mindfulness and the true power of reiki.
Improving the flow of energy in the body holds the key to reiki. Magnesium plays a key role in relaxing muscles and releasing physical tension, making it easier for energy to flow freely. Taking Jigsaw MagSoothe before or after a Reiki session can help relax tight muscles, allowing your master to work on clearing energy blockages more effectively.
Ashwagandha has calming properties that supports the nervous system and entire general feeling of wellbeing. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb, which may support adrenal glands and contribute to improvement of positive stress response.
Omega 3 in liposomal form is another great supplement, which can support entire body, including brain, hormones, cardio-vascular system and more. Using liposomes allows the body to absorb the nutrient more effective.
If you’re curious about Reiki and want to experience its profound effects, now is the perfect opportunity to explore this transformative healing practice. Discover the possibilities that Reiki can unlock for your mind, body, and spirit. Embrace the journey toward healing and well-being—you deserve it!
